When deciding on a new furnishing, you would hardly want to invest in something that will either require constant attention to ensure its longevity or acceptable presentation.
Modern fabrics, timbers and metals can be treated to resist the normal onslaught of dust, soil, stains and the like.
After you choose a product, ensure it is supplied with any additional options that will ensure it requires the minimal amount of maintenance and will in fact survive the application you intend for it.
In the long run, this will mean less time and money in both maintaining it or having to replace/repair it (think untreated fabrics receiving constant sunlight).
